  • I am not feeling so good today. All this hot and cold weather messes me up. Friday, I purchased a fondue pot! I was so excited! Then Saturday, I tried it out!

Before I mention Sunday, I have to mention Natalie. I have so enjoyed reading her blogs. We met a few weeks back for the first time, and I have to say she is just as cool as her blog! Natalie you Rock!

Sunday, instead of watching the super bowl, Natalie and I went to see Joyce Meyers speak at a church. Joyce rocked! She is very witty and on fire for Jesus. So, this is what was spoken to me, after letting Joyce's words sink in.

    ---------------------------------

Some good old fashion goodness is never over rated. Giving someone a little of your time could just make their day. Reaching out in love is always an option. Why not start today?

We speak of goodness and think of goodness, but do we act in goodness? Or do we just repay good for good?

Perhaps we should be good even to those who wrong us or pour salt in the wound. Maybe they are so blinded by insecurities or hung up on something we cannot change. So, in time and with prayer and just good old fashioned goodness maybe they will overcome it. But, if that day never comes than at least we are better for it. Because dwelling on an image we cannot change for them will only make us bitter. Even when we know how far we’ve come and how much muck God has washed off and how now we choose to live without a mask. We know we are not perfect. Perfection is not attainable here on earth.  What truly matters is what God sees and knows to be true. For no one knows you better. No one sees your heart more clearly.

Some good old fashion goodness is a good thing to share, whether we share it with a friend, a stranger or those who think less of us. Let our lights shine for the world to see.

Lord let me be good to those who have wounded me.

    Peace, love, &(most importantly) Jesus,

  • Haunted by your Past?

    Hung up on appearances,

    And tired of the facade?

Sick of trying to keep up,

    Weighted down and feeling unbalanced?

    In need of rest,

Or just shelter from the storm?

Are you desperate for something more?

    In need of direction?

    Certain mirages deserting you?

Is bitterness and resentment tying you down?

Don’t loose hope. I know a loving Savior who waits on you to draw near! He softens hearts and loves unconditional. He comforts and embraces. He forgives and unbinds. His truth sets captives free.He even restores your true identity. He creates new hearts and lifts your burdens. He speaks, Peace be still and calms the storm. His grace is sufficient.

    He knows your !!

  • Nine years ago today my grandfather, PapPap died of cancer. It was hard to watch him leave, but I am so glad I was there to witness his last breath on earth. I will never forget it. It was a truly amazing experience. Maybe one day I will share the story of his departure.

Though I knew him, I wish I’d have known more about him. I do know that he had a great dry sense of humor and he let me fix what little hair he had when I was younger. He loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart. He would have given you the shirt of his back if you needed it. He built my grandma a house and he loved her dearly. He is a man to be admired and my Hero. This blog is dedicated to him.

    In a place where pain,

    No longer engulfs you,

    And suffering is extinct.

    Oxygen no longer an issue,

    And clearly you can speak.

Where your eye sight is perfect,

And you walk the streets of gold,

There it is you have met the star,

Of the greatest story ever told.

In the company of loved ones passed,

    There you are home.

    With our Heavenly Father,

Basking in His glory and grace,

You are witness to love’s true face!

    Though here you are missed,

We know it was your time,

We could not make you wait!

    But, we will meet again.

    See you at Heaven’s gate!

    Peace, love,&(most importantly) Jesus,

  • One Thing I Know

When I first began blogging, I did so on accident, but not really. God does have a plan. I really just wanted to set up a screen name so that I could comment on a good friend's site. Upon doing so, I realized that I indeed had my own account. Now, I couldn’t just let it sit empty. So, thus began my creative writing. Aside, from the book I’m working on.

When I began blogging, my mission was to be a witness for Christ. It still is. My mission is to be a witness to the love of God and share what He lays on my heart. I by no means have all the answers. I am just a ragamuffin, worn from life’s storms, testifying to love and freedom in Christ. Compared to some my sufferings are but scratches, but nonetheless I have persevered through rough trials to joy unspeakable and greater truth.

I’m fairly certain no one would want the burden of having all the answers. Well, no one except for God and He of course is not burdened by this. Even when a doctor has the answers, he has the burden of delivering bad news to some of his patients. Perhaps, not having all the answers is not such a bad thing.

The one thing I know and can offer you my friends, is the truth that set me free. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and He is with me always. He changed my miserable, resentful, desperate, and lonely heart. He is the one truth and one answer to build your life around. The rest is just details.

    Peace, love, &(most importantly) Jesus,

  • Today I dropped my cell phone in the toilet, it fell out of my jacket pocket. I also saw more of a horse than I wanted to. But, at least I got out of the house huh?

I've been wanting a new cell phone, guess that gave me a good excuse.

Oh and the Stars games have been great fun to watch! Last nights game was sweet. We tied the game in the last 47 seconds. We ended with a shootout and Seriously who doesn't like to watch those! Kudos to, Turco, Zubov, and Jokinen!

  • I say and write this with a grieved spirit……….

The words I read are cold.

    Do emails have emotion?

    So structured

    So ordinary

    So uninviting and unwelcoming.

    Kudos for not faking it,

    I wouldn’t want that,

    I’m irritated and concerned,

    What statement are we making?

    Are we tired and unmoved?

    Simply going through some motions?

    Where is the love?

    Love we talk of.

    Even speak of.

    Why do some just stare?

    Is it just human nature?

    Maybe I’m the fool.

    For not being bold,

For not practicing this I think.

    Introduction to a stranger,

Isn’t this why the babe and the manger?

    To reach our hearts.

For forgiveness and being made new,

    To reach out to others.

Or is this just what we speak of?

Now if you have made it through all of this, I feel the need to explain just a little. Maybe I can explain it by simply saying this, I want to be a part of a church that reaches out and welcomes every person. I want to go to a church that says hello to visitors and recognizes them. I choose to be bold and shake hands with a stranger.

    Peace, love, &(most importantly) Jesus,

  • Highway to Heaven

Today, I was on the highway. I was on a mission. I remembered that I had a piece of paper with me that I might need and checked to see if it was indeed in my purse. As I fumbled for this paper, I drove right past my exit. The exit had been reconstructed and began sooner than I thought. I found myself taking the next exit and laughing about the extra 5 minutes it was going to take me. In taking this other exit, I had to make two u-turns and curve back around to get back on the service road to get to the street I needed.

Oh how easily life can distract us, how easily we can get caught up in other things, or is it that sometimes we just want to do it our way. How many times do we make u-turns or live with inconveniences to just ignore the billboards? We think to ourselves, oh if I had a sign. But, maybe some days we are distracted or don’t want to take the exit.

I do love God and the many ways He speaks to me. I love how so many things connect and if I just take a few moments to listen and obey, it is so clear to me. I say obey, because many times He speaks to me with words and whispers, “Write it down”. So, I have to be obedient and stop what I am doing and write it down.

This happening today is connected to the book I am reading, "Hinds Feet on High Places". In the book, Much Afraid, the main character, she has to take some paths she doesn't want to. After she is obedient and has made it, it is for the better. It has made her stronger and along the way she learns so much. The Good Shepard whom she is taking the paths for, knows what is best for her.

God knows what is best for us. His plans are for good!Don’t put up with unnecessary u-turns, surrender, and obediently go His way! So, many beautiful things await you.

    Peace, Love, &(most importantly) Jesus,

  • Great is thy faithfulness!!!! That hymn came to mind last night.

    Great is Thy faithfulness!
    Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
    All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

That is so the truth! Amen!

Just wanted to share with you! And I will leave you with this, that I wrote today:

    Irritability is no ones friend.
    I cast it off,
    So, my heart can mend.

    Devil, you are sly,
    I can't deny,
    But GOD is greater!
And I am the apple of His eye.

    By God I was formed,
    By Jesus forgiven,
    In love and faith,
    I am daily living.

    Cast all your burdens,
    At precious feet,
    He waits on you.
    He makes all things new!

    Peace, love, &(most importantly) Jesus,

  • Hello, my name is Amy.

I am a ragamuffin for Christ

I am a wife and mother.

I take these jobs very seriously. The benefits of these jobs are priceless blessings sent to me by God. Many days I feel like a ragamuffin, someone worn and unworthy, but the truth is I am a princess, daughter of the King. That seems like a title I will never live up to. It is hard to fathom the extent of such a title. I know I am not perfect, in fact very far from it. I do know that God loves me and in Him I see my true identity. Perfection matters not to Him. I know that everyday is more beautiful, every moment more precious, and every breath more priceless, because of my relationship with Christ. It seems that I have my share of good days and bad days and my moments of weakness. I am totally human, go figure! I live a fairly simple life. I’m not trying to belittle it. That’s just how I roll, I guess. I normally take my life one day at a time trying not to worry about things, laying down my burdens at the feet of Christ. I guess you could say sometimes I feel invincible. My life gets good and everything is comfy and I’m high flying. Then boom I feel like I am falling out of the sky, probably due to the weight of the stress on my shoulders. Those little issues I let slip by and did not surrender. Maybe the moral of the story is don’t try to be superman. Honestly I know I am not superman and even superman had his kryptonite. When you start to feel weighted down, don’t let it build. Start praying out the issues at hand before you come crashing down. God will never give us more than we can handle. Normally I would really beat myself up for my stupidity once again, but not this time. This time I am grateful for the crash because without it, I would not have been quiet long enough to just …… Be still and know that HE is GOD!

I give my life to the Potters hand. Use me, guide me, and fill me.        (The Potter’s Hand)

I once was blind but now I see.       (Amazing Grace)

What a joy to know that my father, the King is here with me. What peace surrounds me and what loving wings hold me.

Be still and know that He is GOD,
