( more to follow............) STARS HOCKEY GAME

    Edit Add:

One word to describe this week, CHALLENGING.!
Food for thought:  Life got you crazy?? Rather be Crazy about LIFE??

Um yes please, being crazy about life is better than being Crazed by life! I think I most likely asked for it. Why do I ask for more patience? Why do I ask, when I know it’s going to take patience to get there! This week is most definitely challenging, but that is ok, I know it will get better! It is already better than yesterday. But, I am seriously considering investing in a whistle, because I think (at least for this week) that motherhood is like being a referee!!! I’m thinking about calling the naughty chair, the penalty box! Go ahead laugh I'm serious!

Tomorrow is the day I’ve been waiting for! It’s so exciting!! I will finally see the Boys live at the AA Center! The hot dogs, the nachos, the fans, the cold (no more turning down the AC for affect) and a green foam hand. (No, I don't really, turn down the AC, I'm not that strange!!) Last night my hubby asked me if, I was sure they have them. I think he was just hoping they’d sell out! I really hope they don't!! I will have pics to share tomorrow night or Thursday morning. Until then...........

  • IMPERFECT

    I'm not perfect
    In fact
    Far from it I am
    Call me IMPERFECT
    Daughter of man.

    My Savior is perfect
    Without sin
    Saved me with His life
    A living sacrifice
    Resurrected
    Son of God
    In Him
    I am born again
    And made perfect in love.

    Edit Add:
I feel isolated from different people in my life. (I think that's
the word I'm looking for.) I'm not upset by it. I just wonder why it
is. I'm sure its a different reason for each. It is such a reminder to
me that this world is not my home. God's love is one thing I can not be
isolated from. I need it. During rough times, I've had a few wonderful
people by my side. I am forever grateful for those people.
But, in my most vulnerable moments, my most desperate crys, and my
heart wrenching moments, I needed more than they could offer. I need to
be held and comforted by the voice that says," I am here, you are never
alone, trust me, there is a bigger greater picture. Lay all your
burdens on me. All your grief, all your fears, all your doubts, all of
you." The voice that reminded me how He has always been there and held
me. Jesus and  His perfect love.

  • Yesterday,
on the way to the gym, I decided to listen to DC Talk’s, “Jesus Freak”,
inspired by Mike. I love that cd! It got me ready for the gym! I felt
    energized!!

    QUESTION,
when at the gym do you ever feel like covering the screen to your
cardio machine, like it is some sort of test paper so that the guy next
to you will quit checking it out?? I’m just curious if that bugs anyone
else?? Trust me my monitor is not that interesting!!!

    A Whole New Life

I am currently reading two books. I am in the last chapter of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and I have just begun A Fresh Vision of Jesus. In this book, Cheri Fuller uses this Max Lucado quote:

    "Seeing
Jesus is what Christianity is all about. Mark it down. We are what we
see …. Acquiring a vision of your Maker can be like starting a whole
    new life."

    Wow, isn't that the truth!

It is like starting a whole new life. It’s
amazing how your life can change and in ways you have yet to know or
see. Some things change right away. Others take time, time to unbury
themselves or time to break free. Change can be a really good thing. My
life now is a lot different than it was two years ago. A lot of change
had to take place immediately. Then along the way the more difficult
ones took place and I’m still changing. God is not through.

There were a lot of things I’ve had to unlearn and relearn. I had to really seek God and His word to understand what He truly expects of me as a wife and mother. Thank the Lord for Power of A Praying Wife, every wife needs a copy! There are many truths in this book!

    I
received a new attitude, a new outlook on life and a renewed sense of
faith. Really, I could go on and on testifying to God's goodness and
mercy.  (I had previously been quite a bitter beaten down
existence lacking purpose and joy.) I now look at things in such a different
light. I get glimpses and wonder how I could have missed them before.

So, if you feel lost, beaten down by life, or have just lost sight, just take it to His feet. Lay it down. It may be that He is
just waiting to give you a glimpse or reveal a truth that could change
your whole life for the better. Perhaps, even make you whole again.

  • St. Patrick’s Day

This day has a different meaning for me. Two years ago on this very day, life as I know it became real serious, real fast, because my whole world fell apart. Actually, it is when my life truly began. I had lost sight of what was important or most important in life, but my vision was being restored. I am so thankful that everything fell apart so that it could be made new and some things just had to change. I needed direction and purpose. I have learned so much in the past two years and I saw first hand the power of prayer! Our God is an awesome God! I am forever grateful for all the wisdom, grace, a renewed marriage, and a new sense of self. God makes all things better. He is my Rock. In Him I am found. I hope to never forget what St. Patrick’s Day means to me.

  • Hail Caesar and Hail to the Chief or Chef

The Tex-Mex Grilled Chicken Caesar that is, created by, my favorite food network gal, Rachel Ray! This isn't just any Caesar! It has a Tex-Mex kick, ya, hence the name! It is so Yummy or YUM-O!! I made this tasty plate of goodness for lunch yesterday! I didn't want to stop eating it! I get so sick of ordinary salads! This is no ordinary one! Kudos to Rachel!!

Rachel Ray has given me so much courage in the kitchen and I’m quite grateful! I’m no longer afraid to try to cook new things or even put my own spin on recipes!! Hurray! Hurray! I love food! Thanks Rachel, YOU ROCK!!

    I Love Seeing these STARS!

Yes, that’s right you guessed it! My Dallas Stars! The countdown has begun for my trip to the ice, to watch them clip the wings, (once more) of the Mighty Ducks! I simply cannot wait! I have literally been dreaming about it. In my dreams I usually forget my camera or loose track of Brent, or my favorite, hang out with the guys! I will be one ecstatic fan! YEAH BABY!! I’m so getting a green foam finger! I wish we had giant hockey puck hats, like the Canucks! That would be sweet! I would so buy my dad one, because he would wear it!

    Random Pieces

-This week is zooming on by! Perhaps being out of town Sunday-Tuesday had something to do with it.

-The past weekend was Wonderful! It was so good to spend time with just my man, especially since date nights are scarce!

-I am so grateful for my darling family and I am blessed by their presence! I learn so much from them everyday. I know this is one of the things I was made for, being a wife/mom and I love it! I hope that I always give them my all.

  • Reminded

Sometimes I feel like life gets to busy and I just want it to slow down, so I can enjoy it, and savor a few moments. Perhaps, I need to manage my time better.

I had a few moments to just be still, but missing my husband got in the way of making the best of the moment. Now that I am home, I have the issue of missing my sweet children. Although, it is extremely nice for us to have a break from each other, it is also a reminder to me of just how much I enjoy being their mother.

Despite all the work, patience, discipline, love, and a few other ingredients it takes out of you, you can trust me when I say it is all worth sacrifices for the beauty and pure blessing of children and motherhood. Daily I am blessed by their sweet company and captured by their intelligence and faith. I am excited as I watch them grow and learn. Each day they are becoming their own person.

Here is a blessing for all you parents out there:

God bless you, God guide you and order your steps. May He lead you in teaching them obedience, trust, and faith, as well as the fruits of the Spirit. May He always be the foundation in your life and your families’. Never loose hope!! You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

                            Amen.

  • There's NO biting in HOCKEY!!!!

I mean Seriously!! One of the Coyotes looked like he was going to bite one of our Stars on the hand during their fight. That's just not right! Even if he is a Coyote. Plus, geez we almost got to watch some hockey admist the fights. It is sad to say, but Stars for me you just didn't look hungry enough in the first two periods. But, that's ok we can't win them all. We definitely need to work on our power play!! The playoffs are almost here!!! And HULLO, wouldn't it be nice to bring the Stanley Cup home!!!

Guys lets "Bring it" in our next game!

    Ash Wednesday

No, I'm not Catholic, but every year I give up something for 40 days. It is a tradition with my family. This year I gave up potatoes. That means, for 40 days, no mashed, sweet, stuffed, french fried, shredded, or smashed potatoes.

    Unspeakable Joy

Sometimes it is hard to express the joy of the Lord. This week it has definitely been my strength. You may think I'm crazy or retarded, but that's ok, I've been tagged as worse. I don't mind being different. I am so super excited about things God has been doing and changing in my life. I can't help but want to share! This has been a fabulous week. The kids have been listening to me, my husband has rocked, and I have been enjoying kicking it up a notch en La cocina!(kitchen) I even baked cupcakes this week!! Everything seems a little sweeter when you are enjoying the joy of the Lord. Last night I experienced a beautiful Texas sky. Its so indescribable, but the colors were so beautiful, different shades of blues, maybe a hint of green, but it was a gorgeous view as I flipped through the radio stations and stopped on Randy Travis's song "Forever and Ever Amen!" Love that song. It just all made me feel so good, I wanted to cry, happy tears. That plus reflecting on all the many blessings....

Call me crazy, even call me cheesey, but I hope to be........

  • Weekend Update

Thursday, my fabulous husband, brought me home chocolates. Not just any kind of chocolates, the best kind! It was my first time to ever try Lindor Truffles and trust me it won’t be the last! I have had a glimpse of Heaven. These truffles are rich creamy chocolate goodness. The outside is solid chocolate and inside is creamy chocolate. The white chocolate are the best, although, I have not yet tried the dark chocolate. I am on a mission to get everyone else hooked. But, you’ll have to get your own bag, because this chick is not sharing!

I am currently in book four of The Chronicles of Narnia. I am loving these books. C.S. Lewis is good! My favorite book so far is book three! I will keep you posted as I read through them.

I also got to hang out with a new friend this past week. God has introduced a few new people to me this year and it has been fun getting to know each one of them. I have also enjoyed getting to meet  people on Xanga and reading everyones blog!

This past week went by really fast. It was a good one! I’m really excited about a lot of things in my life. Even though it is sad how quickly the time goes and how fast the children grow. I am really enjoying taking it all in. I am reminded this weekend that my worth is found in God. Who I am is unmasked to me through my Heavenly Father. Everything got started and finds it’s purpose in Him. God placed me here for a purpose and uses me for His glory. The best part about it is not only does he use me, weak ragamuffin that I am, but He loves me. He doesn’t just love me because he can use me, he loves me just because. He loves me unconditionally in a world that places conditions on all things. His amazing unbound love changes me and encourages me. I am so grateful!

  • Have you ever been super excited, frightened, and just a smidge lonely all at the same time? That explains how I feel at this exact moment. I am super excited about what the future will bring as well as frightened by not knowing exactly what the future holds. I know that God has plans for good and to prosper me, and that is super exciting. I also know that in life we have trials, lets face it, it’s the stuff that molds us, shapes us, and gets rid of the ugly. (It gives me writing material as well.) I also know that God has been and will forever be right by my side. He is good like that.

Ever feel homesick? Sometimes I truly believe that is the lonely part. I just finished reading The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I really liked it. I just love Aslan. I want to give him a big hug. The way he is described is so real to me, beautiful, majestic, slightly intimidating, and you can’t take your eyes off of him.Why would you want to. It is like the day when I meet Jesus. It just really speaks to my heart. Here we only get glimpses of His glory, but one day we will see fully.

I am in awe of God. How much bigger are His plans. How much greater is His love. How beautiful is His grace.

  • I have been trying to catch up on blogs. I apologize for being behind. Last week was a rough week. Everytime I tried to get something done, a migraine headache seemed to weigh me down. I hope to catch up by the end of the week.

Yesterday I watched some Olympic Hockey. Usa took on Latvia. It ended in a tie. It was fun to watch Modano and Guerin. I think its cool that the rink is bigger than the NHL's, allowing the players more room to show off their skills. Also, the boards are six inches higher.

I am reading The Chronicles of Narnia. I finished the first book and I am about half way through the second book. I like how the first book gives you background on how the wardrobe got its magic. When I finish the second book I will be ready to see the movie! I can't wait.

And I leave you with this.....

    --------------------------------------------------

    WANTED:

Those who dare to be different.
Those who dare to make a difference.

Those who dare to be changed by love, who want a new and improved pure heart.

Those who choose to step out and be brave, brave in love.

Those who choose grace and to live by faith.
Those who choose to share their imperfect lifes.

Let us share our lifes and worry not about perfection. We are all works in progress. God uses both are strengths and weaknesses. We all can make a difference.

    Peace, love, &(most importantly) Jesus,
